I was one of the earlier members to join the speedsolving.com forums, which wasn’t even called that at the time. I was around 36s at the time, and not thinking that I would use the account very much, I hastily joined using the name “Me!” (the exclamation mark was taken off after the forum switched servers.)
Anyway, the gem that the title refers to, I was rooting around and I found this: http://www.speedsolving.com/forum/showthread.php?t=375
The third post is the “gem”, yessir, takes me back.

So I left my charger at the Indiana Winter competition, and my camera needs a charger to get files off of it. So that’s just been another block as to why I haven’t been making videos.
ALSO, next week is spring break, and because I’m so super awesome I’m staying on campus. Needless to say I will definitely be making and no doubt posting those videos. It’s gonna be fun.
I’m in the most strangest state of relaxation and stress. Keeping me on my toes, anything can happen. Have a good day everyone!

So my site update is almost complete, I won’t go into details what I still want to change but I’ll tell you there are going to be some ads some places. (and if you want some feel free to contact me ;) ) Now for some other stuff to talk about.
I’m going to the Indiana Open 2010! So far some amazing and experienced cubers have registered including Mike Hughey, Dave Cambell, and Dan Cohen combine that with the event lineup it looks like it’ll be fun. I’ve never been to a so inland competition (or maybe not, it might actually be the 2nd most) before so I’m really looking forward to it, February 27th add it to your calendar (only if you’re in the area, don’t feel obliged to go to this competition if you reside in southern California you guys have a higher volume of amazing cubers there anyway I don’t know why you would want to compete anywhere else). Gotsta practice lots now.
School is keeping me busy here, and my free time is accidentally put towards Hulu, some video games, and Fireball Island (there is nothing else like that board game around). I’m also in a video production class, so maybe you’ll see some stuff I’ve done with that in the future. Finally: at this point I nor the others have any plans for the FiveAwesomeCubers.

So episode 10 was posted the other day, and it’s the episode where I really decided to stop making Tip of the Week for a while, mostly because I don’t have the same resources here to work with, and I don’t think I’ll have as much time to make videos overall. (see the final episode here)
I said this in the video, but I want to thank everyone again who liked it you made this possible through your views and ratings. Even those people who didn’t like it helped with this production, you provided criticisms that forced me to try new tutorial methods and teach different or new concepts with a twist. Making any tutorial or video experimentation is always important, the critics and haters make this experimentation possible to a point.
Well that’s it for now I felt like writing that out to everyone. I’ll probably compile a playlist like thing here on my site eventually under the cubing section. Also I’ve been wanting to put all the episodes on iTunes for download, I don’t know how much of a demand for it there is but it would be fun and probably good to know how to do. So if that happens I’ll tell you all.
Other Thoughts: the Swedish band “Movits!” is really cool, I would say it’s like Vampire Weekend with a 1920′s ragtime jazz band, oh yeah except Swedish (not Norwegian).

that’s right! I really haven’t so I’ll make an attempt here.
Summer’s going absolutely fine, I think the pump in the swamp cooler in my house is broken so it’s really hot right now, and hot air is just filling up all the rooms. Good for cubing! Kinda.
So I’ll be departing for the Aurora competition tomorrow near Denver, that will be super fun, seems though that there will be a fair amount of slower people than usual people there, but that’s cool, means I’ll get to do some judgin’. But that’s Denver, and I suppose I’ve gotten too used to competing at the US Nationals or West or East coast competitions.
In case no one has noticed, I’ve started some new projects recently, first there’s Tip of the Week that’s every Wednesday on my channel (youtube.com/thrawst). The other thing is the FiveAwesomeCubers channel that’s every Friday here. Both of those are pretty much all I do now as making all those videos on a schedule keeps me busy-ish. I only hope I can continue to produce them in college.
So I guess that’s it, I’ve had a lot of requests recently to update the OLL section, and I’m happy to say that I’ll be (hopefully) updating that within the weeks to come, so check back on it.
Bye!
